Sophia, is the daughter of NICHOLAS AND EVA BISHOP and was born on July 23, 1809 in Germany. Sophia immigrated to the U.S. and settled in Seneca County, Ohio.

Sophia married JACOB MARSHALL 2-2 also spelled JACOB MARSCHALL on August 23, 1836.

Jacob and Sophia had seven children.  George W., Jacob Jr, and Margaretha were born in Ohio and David, Libby and Susan were born in Maple Grove Township in Barry County Michigan.

Sophia died on November 4, 1896 and is buried at the Greenlawn Cemetery which is located just east of Tiffin, Ohio. (See map below)
