House Ken Marshall lived in after family moved from Fremont, Nebraska to home on Cherry Street in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Father was assigned the territory of Southern Illinois and Eastern Missouri for his new employer Hesston Corp., therefore the reason for move.

Kenny and Bryce received St. Louis Cardinals fortball helmets for Christmas. Back then you could not buy helmets with team insignias on them, so Dad just plain white helmets and hand painted the Carninal insignias on them.

Ken moved on up to this tri-level home on Blackberry Drive also in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

Lots of basketball was played when his dad added a basket and backboard (added after this photo was taken). Ken also honed his skills on the full sized pool table in the basement.
