Sophia Mary (or Mary Sophia) was born December 10, 1854 in Seneca County, Ohio.  Twin to Mary S. (believed to have died as an infant). 
Sophia married her first cousin, SAMUEL MARSHALL 1-3, son of George S. and Caroline Marshall. Sam and Sophia had four children, Curtis, Edna, Glenn and Laurel. Sophia died in March 6, 1909. It was told that Sophia was riding in the buggy with her husband Sam when they came to a train crossing and an uncoming train spooked the horse and upset the buggy killing Sophia.

Since Sophia's maiden name and married name is Marshall and to keep with the naming convention of this database, it is necessary to add the second Marshall to her name.

gravestone is engraved as Mary S however all references we've found is Sophia Mary. Likely it is an error on the engraving.
