Mary S Marshall, believed to be the twin sister of Sofia Marshall 1-3, died at birth or young age. However, the family moved from Ohio to Michigan and in the 1870 Michigan census shows Mary S. Marshall as a 16 year old living daughter of John and Dorothy Marshall. Plus, Sofia Mary is not shown as a family member. It is possible that Sofia had already left home to marry Samuel Marshall. Since we don't know what the initial S stands for in Mary S, then another possibility is that Sofia Mary and Mary S is one and the same person. |
