Rev. John J. Marshall was born August 7, 1855 in Seneca County, Ohio.  John married LOUISE JANE WENDEL 2-3 about 1878.  John and Louise had ten children, four boys and six girls. Louise was born on June 28, 1861.

As John J was a preacher for the Evangelical church, he was sent to many Michigan churches. Below is a chronological listing of the areas in Michigan his family lived during his career.

1910 census, John J 54, wife Louise 48, Lorilla 29, Jessie 18, Myrtle 11 and grandchild Margaret L Hunt 3, lived in Mount Pleasant Ward 3, Isabella, Michigan

John J. died on July 5, 1930 and Louise died in October 28, 1940 at the age of 74 and 79 respectively.  Both are buried at the Lakeview Cemetery in Nashville, Michigan.
