The Brig Cervantes is the ship that carried our original Marshall ancestors to the USA.
The ship depart from the French port of La Harve, France in the early Summer of 1833 and arrived at Ellis Island, New York on August 6, 1933.

The family settled in Seneca Country, Ohio.

Robyn and I found this correct manifest on the 3rd day and the last roll after going through hundreds of rolls of microfilm we found what we were searching for - the original members of the Marshall Family as they debarked and were process at Ellis Island.

I, Jacob Hamel (ship's Captian) do solemly, sincerely, and truly swear ???? with ???? and List subscrbed with my name and now deliver by me to the director of the ???? of '???? ????' contains to the best of my knolege and belief, the names, age, sex and occupation of all the passengers, together with the name of the country to which they severally belong, and that of which they inted to become inhaitants, which were on board the 'Brig Cervantes' whereof I am at present ???? at the time of her sailing for the Port of Harve or which haveat any time since???? ?? board said vessel. And I do likewise swear, that all matters whatsoever in said ??? and List expressed, are, to the best of my knowledge and belief, just and true.
